Purge Thursday: Candles

Filed under Purge Thursday by at 10:00 pm on Feb 19 2009

I have a box of candles. Some are smelly, some are not. Some are tapers, pillars, votives, etc. They’ve been collecting dust for 4 years. I promise I only lit the ones for this picture that had previously lit – there are plenty of unused. If you want them and you are local (not shippin’ 10+ lbs of candles) give me a shout and let me know when you can come by! No takers, they go to freecycle.

At least I had a helluva lot of fun getting Jack to help me with taking pictures of candles. I definitely need a remote or we’ll kill each other. (See angryface.) I could have really done myself a favor by re-reading this first…

Yeah a remote would work well in those situations.

Also, you could try using the delay timer?

That’s what I use when I’m caught without the remote in my camera bag.

Ah, I would have used the delay timer, but getting in and out of the setup I’d made was problematic.

What I really needed apart from a remote, I think, was a second light source so I could have a shorter exposure so the candles would be less blown-out.

    Thanks for dropping by!

Where on earth do you live? Close to Philly? I’m always up for candles!

I live just south of Baltimore, but I do go to philly every other month or so. I have the awesomest friends there and I like to see lots of shows there. I have a taker in line but they have not committed to a pick up time yet!
